BI Software Engineer - SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, VB.net
6 month contract initially with a global defence and aerospace client!!! A vacancy exists for a developer to work within an existing team to develop and deliver Business Intelligence capability to a Transformation Programme utilising the Agile methodology.
Building on the success of the existing programme, our clinet are looking to exploit the Business Intelligence capability across the business as part of their transformation programme.
The programme utilises the Microsoft technology stack which comprises of a SQL Server 2008R2 Data Warehouse and SharePoint 2010 installation.
The Business Intelligence capability has a lot of varied data sources which need to be integrated into the Data Warehouse. These data sources will then be used to create Business Intelligence capabilities for a varied amount of stakeholders with a mixture of Reports (SSRS - SQL Server Reporting Services), Dashboards (SSAS - Performance Point & Excel PowerPivot).
Key Skills:
- Proficient with XML and SQL,
- Knowledge of VB.net and C#
- Knowledge of the following technologies: Microsoft (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, & SQL Server) or equivalent.
