Financial Services Disputes and Investigations NQ+ Solicitor
We are recruiting for a Financial Services Disputes and Investigations NQ+ Solicitor to join our team in Bristol, one of the few teams outside London to specialise in contentious work for banks and mortgage lenders. Our Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team is one of the largest teams offering litigation services to banks, mortgage lenders and insurers. It is rated by Chambers as being in the top tier of firms outside of London advising in this area.

TLT looks for talented people, distinguished by technical excellence, with a willingness to embrace team working and a passion for client service. As the successful NQ+ Solicitor you will be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience of handling a caseload of banking and mortgage litigation cases including defended and sensitive reputational cases, breach of contract/mandate, fraud, Law of Property Act receivership advice and financial disputes
Experienced in acting for banks and mortgage lenders in contentious matters (however the extensiveness of this experience , if low, may not be a complete barrier if the candidate has the right qualities)
Should be from a top 100 law firm, with contentious commercial experience
Should ideally have a working knowledge of land registry practice and procedure due to the lending we deal with being mostly secured upon property
Keen to establish excellent relationships with clients
Keen and enthusiastic to learn and develop
As a NQ+ Solicitor we expect you to deliver the following:
Running a significant caseload for key FTSE banking and mortgage lender clients
Advising competently upon a range of contentious lending and recovery issues with moderate supervision
Assessing, and progressing a varied litigation caseload typically emanate from banks and mortgage lenders
Assisting more senior solicitors upon larger cases and dealing with document management
Actively involved in business development activities with clients and potential clients
Actively involved in the production of legal updates and knowhow development
Some supervision opportunities may be available in respect of trainee solicitors and other members of the team
