Business Development Executive
??16,000 - ??18,000 per annum with a quarterly performance-related bonus

Christie & Co are the leading specialist advisor for buying and selling businesses in our sectors - hotels, pubs, restaurants, childcare, healthcare, convenience retail, leisure and medical.

We are now looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to join our team based in either our Bristol (BS8 1SB) or Exeter (EX2 4AN) office, on a permanent full-time or part-time basis, depending on candidate preference.

The Role
As our Business Development Executive, you will work closely with the Regional Director, Marketing Coordinator and Business Agents to implement, plan and execute structured business plans to generate inspections and opportunities. You will be expected to:

  • Call potential clients to introduce Christie & Co and what we do
  • Update and maintain our web-based CRM tool (IBIS)
  • Develop a thorough understanding of IBIS and how to use it to generate new leads
  • Use Mailshots and e-marketing tools to generate business
  • Maintain a record of all client communication, including unsuccessful communication attempts;
  • Reach and exceed targets
  • Analyse the performance of business generation strategies
  • Identify leads and match them to the most appropriate Business Agent
  • Present and promote Christie & Co as a professional organisation with the highest standards of excellence and care
  • Contribute to the development of Christie & Co's corporate image and perception as a whole by demonstrating quality, consistency and reliability

The Candidate

To be considered for our Business Development Executive role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a cold calling role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Database management experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience in a service-sales role
  • Working knowledge of the property sector
  • Previous experience of Salesforce is advantageous
  • Be personable and friendly
  • Be polite and professional
  • Be able to build relationships quickly
  • Be hard-working, self-motivated and determined
  • Be keen and eager to learn
  • Be organised and able to prioritise workload
