About Us
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a senior support worker at one of our homes in Weston Super Mare, specialising in supporting people with mental health needs.
We provide flexible support through a range of services and we are looking for a caring, patient and experienced support worker to join our team.
Your Role
As a senior support worker you will adopt a person-centred approach to care, putting individuals in control of their own lives and providing them with opportunities to increase independence. You will assist the manager and deputy manager in the effective co-ordination of all services to the people we support, ensuring a high standard of care at all times and implementing agreed care plans and policies as appropriate.
This is a challenging but intensely rewarding role. You will be assisting in the development of effective and needs-led care plans, and playing an active part in raising public awareness of and support for the aims and objectives of the home.
A key part of the role will be to assist the manager and deputy in maintaining good professional relationships with the people we support, and their friends/family members.

The skills you need
You will be caring, patient, reliable and motivated. With a passion for care, you will have a positive outlook and good communication skills. Previous support worker experience is essential, along with a person centred approach and ability to work flexible hours.
