At Yeo we are independent, British & proud to be making the highest quality yogurts, desserts & ice cream for Yeo Valley Organic as well as for many of the UK's major retailers. Operating from 4 dairies & 2 logistics centres in rural Somerset & Devon, we employ over 1700 staff & produce more than 22% of the UK's yogurt.
Based at our HQ in Blagdon just 20 minutes outside of Bristol, we are looking for a talented and driven Technical professional to support and monitor site technical teams across 4 manufacturing sites. This new role will help engender a consistent quality culture whilst ensuring all relevant legislation, codes of practice and internal standards are adhered to.
Working with the Technical Director and a small team of senior technical staff you will develop and maintain a strong supportive, collaborative relationship with our manufacturing sites and will support individual site issues escalated by the Site Senior Management Team or identified using KPI/trending data.
You will also audit sites against YV policies and where necessary customer codes of practice, together with promoting both a Quality Assurance approach and a robust Quality Culture via training and analysis of site skills.
Key Skills:
Experienced technical manager within the food industry
Ability to build supportive and collaborative relationships
HACCP and lead auditor qualified
Knowledge of retailer codes of practice
Understand 'best in class' food safety, quality and manufacturing standards
