We are currently looking for a Shift Manager to ensure all shift activities are co-ordinated and daily & weekly tasks achieved, making best use of available resources, through the effective motivation and leadership of Team Leaders to continually improve performance levels and quality standards across the site to achieve a common goal.
You will be expected to manage Team Leaders through effective delegation, objective setting and monitoring of management performance, instigating actions to rectify underachievement as appropriate. You will also be able to demonstrate your hunger for learning and know how to understand your team and unlock their great potential. In an ever changing environment we need people who relish change, can support and drive improvements at individual, team and business performance but do all this within our defined current structures.
The successful applicant will have extensive understanding of how functions within a depot interact and influence customer service, as well as previous experience managing teams and budgets. Experience of unionised environments would be beneficial.
