Assistant Operations Manager - Cleaning (Selby/Tadcaster area)
: North Yorkshire County Council Building Cleaning Service provides cleaning and caretaking services to over 300 schools and over 100 non-school sites across North Yorkshire. Through the dedication of the workforce, they provide enhanced learning environments for children in our local schools. A diverse and challenging role has become available to join the experienced team as an Assistant Manager. In this role you will be required to cover sites in Selby/Tadcaster and the surrounding geographical area whilst supporting other areas as necessary. Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will be required to drive and will be provided with a vehicle. The role requires the successful applicant to manage numerous sites in various locations including schools, libraries and Council offices, therefore experience in multi-site facilities management would be an advantage. You will be required to assist the Operations Manager in the management of the teams across your geographical area which will include recruiting new staff members, implementation of Personnel Policies and Procedures, inducting new staff as well as the planning and delivery of service to ensure sites meet the required standards. This position is varied, always interesting and provides a crucial service to local schools which ensures their smooth running. As this is no standard 9-5 role, we are looking for someone who is flexible in their approach, has great interpersonal skills and works well under pressure whilst always looking to exceed expectations and deliver excellent customer service at every level. You should have the ability to multi-task efficiently and have a great attention to detail. What can we offer you?
