About the role:
With extended funding until 2018, Carer Support Wiltshire are looking for a Fundraising Development Manager to join their proactive and engaged workforce. They have a big volunteer workforce and are leaders in the local voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCS). Their work is recognised nationally and they have been shortlisted in Health Service Journal awards, making this an exciting place to work.
They are seeking an experienced Fundraising Development Manager to lead a small team of marketing and communications professionals. This will help them respond to the growing numbers of carers coming forward for support, whilst raising the profile of caring and the incredible contribution it makes to the Wiltshire community. You will develop strategies and targets to maximise income to support Carer Support Wiltshire's mission, working closely with the Chief Executive, the senior management team and the Fundraising and Publicity Subcommittee.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced fundraising professional with a minimum of 2 years' experience within this role. With experience of community fundraising, and trusts and foundations fundraising, you will have a successful track-record in soliciting donations from corporates and major donors.
The post holder will be able to communicate at all levels, and have empathy with or an understanding of caring and how it affects the wider society. You must be able to deliver a strategic approach to fundraising and possess strong business skills. With the ability to manage databases, support donor retention and research and cultivate prospects, you will achieve set targets, motivated by Carer Support Wiltshire's shared vision of creating a caring county.
You must be a car driver and have access to your own vehicle, and be willing to work flexibly in terms of location, and be willing to do occasional evening and weekend work.
