Children's Support Worker Job in Bristol - Complex CareWe are looking for caring and experienced Support Workers and/or Care Assistants to join our Bristol Complex Care Team, working in and around the local area. Our clients require full time support, and thus in order to fully support this package of care, you should be willing to work at least every other weekend.We have a range of shifts available, including days, nights and weekends or a combination of these. You will join a dedicated paediatric team, committed to fulfilling these packages of care, and will need to have experience of working with children who may have mental health issues, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour or complex health care needs. A conscientious and compassionate approach makes an incredible difference in the daily life of a child. You will need to be a confident advocate, recognising the potential of the individual and championing their needs.Our person-centred approach means we will provide a client-specific induction and any additional training so that you can deliver the Newcross standard of personalised care.Our ideal team member will have experience in any of the following: TracheostomyVentilatorPEGBrain injurySpinal injuryLearning disabilityDegenerative medical conditions (such as Motor Neurone Disease)Within your role you will be responsible for assisting with key health provision functions, including administering medication, pain relief and various domestic and healthcare tasks to assist the children with day to day living.
