IT Field Engineer
IT FIELD ENGINEER
Our client, an IT Services company have experienced exceptional growth over the past two years. With this growth has come a requirement for an IT Field Engineer to enhance the services to their clients.
You will demonstrate the highest levels of customer service and full training will be provided to cover any areas needed to make you the most affective within your role. You will be based in their Frome office, but traveling to and from client sites will be expected occasionally, therefore your own transport is essential.
This post will be subject to a clear DBS (Police Check) and references will be requested.
You will be responsible for the support and maintenance of our clients equipment, from home users to businesses with 40 machines. You must be able to work under pressure (not all the time!) and be flexible with your approach to workload.
In general you must be articulate, presentable and keen to ensure our clients are served well and their systems are supported to the highest level.
Minimum 1 years demonstrable 1/2nd line support experience in a similar role
Ability to work in high pressure environments individually and as part of a team
Knowledge of Windows Vista, XP, 7, 8/8.1, 10 and Mac
Knowledge of Hardware and diagnosing hardware faults
Computer build and repair skills
Remote support diagnosing and resolving issues over the phone
Server and networking experience is desirable but not essential
HOURS OF WORK
37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8:30 - 5:00 with an hours lunch break. The successful applicant will be required to work alternate Saturdays (9-1).
