Senior Systems Support Analyst ( Windows Servers, HP Blade Systems, VMware, VSphere, SAN, MS Exchange ).

Location: Chard, Somerset

Salary: £40-43,000 + Bens

This opportunity could open up opportunities that lead to future roles in Technical Systems Management, Project Management or IS Management.

Key Skills:

- Minimum 4 years technical support experience working with Microsoft Windows servers.

- Minimum 1 year commercial experience of maintaining virtual systems, ideally VMware.

- Hands on experience with server hardware, ideally HP blade systems.

- Hands on experience with SAN storage systems, ideally HP 3PAR.

- Broad knowledge of Microsoft systems including Exchange, SQL, SCOM, SCCM

- Excellent understanding of networking including the configuration of layer 2-3 devices.

- Good understanding of wireless technologies.

- Experience with security hardware / software ideally with Juniper and Barracuda Email and Web security products.

- PABX Telephony experience including SIP and ISDN technologies

- Must be happy to live within commuting distance of Chard, Somerset or be willing to relocate.

- Must have a driving license and the ability to react quickly to reach the Chard site.

- Must have good English communication and written skills.

- Must be eligible to work in the UK.



About the Role:

The successful Senior Systems Support Analyst ( Windows Servers, HP Blade Systems, VMware, VSphere, SAN, MS Exchange ) will be a key member of a strong team of professionals.

Responsibilities will include;

- Day to day maintenance of networked systems from 2nd to 3rd line support. On occasions will be required to carry out 1st line support tasks.

- Playing a major role in new implementations or system refresh projects.

- Training peers in areas of own expertise.

- Maintaining good relationships with customers.

- Monitoring Helpdesk for Support Issues and ensure tickets are logged.
