FINANCE MANAGER
Our client, a successful national company seeks a Finance Manager to join its team.

SUMMARY OF POSITION.
Reporting to the Deputy Finance Director the principal purpose of the role is to coordinate the day to day running of the business finances, providing operational and contractual support to the business, management of the business financial accounts, responsibly for the preparation of budgets/forecasts etc, supporting on commercial contract tenders and other business projects.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
*Management of Financial Reporting within tight deadlines:
*Prepare monthly accounts and KPIs
*Work with internal and external auditors
*Preparation of financial Board Packs and business reporting
*Maintain the nominal ledger and all the control accounts including monthly reconciliations
*Manage the budgeting and forecasting for the company
*Business partnering with operational and commercial teams by attending operational meetings and challenging the non-finance teams supporting the drive to increase revenues and profitability in line with Dashboard KPI reports and strategic targets;
* Monitoring cash flow and working capital management, setting up an effective cash management process, whilst maintaining control of customer and supplier ledgers

*Managing the demands of ad hoc reporting and projects
*Finance Management of all commercial contracts, ensuring profitable delivery, claims support, robust processes and controls supporting effective delivery.
*Support on commercial contract tenders including bid reviews

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL
*ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification
*A senior accountant with a clear understanding of key aspects of management accounts preparation, business planning and budgeting and managing a team of finance staff.
*Possess excellent relationship building skills.
*Possess a dynamic personality and the ability to cope in a fast-paced environment while working with tight deadlines
*Highly proficient in MS Office applications, advanced knowledge of Excel
*Experience in interfacing with both finance and operational staff at all levels and therefore the ability to work collaboratively with the wider business and explain complex financial information to non-finance audiences is imperative
*Pragmatic and progressive in approach and must strive for excellence in the delivery of their work and that of their teams.
*Ability to plan and organise workload and work under pressure to meet required targets and deadlines.
