Systems Developer - Suffolk

Our UK leading client are looking for an experienced Systems Developer to join their team on a permanent basis. The Systems Developer's primary responsibility will be to provide systems development, integration and support for the company's systems at their Suffolk based office.

Systems Developer - Key Skills:

  • Previous experience of object-orientated development using C#.Net, ASP.NET and MVC
  • Previous experience of database design and development (T-SQL) using Microsoft SQL Server (2000/2005/2008)
  • Experience of SSRS development
  • Experience interfacing/integrating systems
  • Experience of Sharepoint/Sharepoint Development beneficial
  • Experience of Visual Studio Team System beneficial

Systems Developer - Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintenance of in-house systems, intranets and web sites
  • Analysing user requirements or where appropriate supporting colleagues performing the Analysis role
  • Design and development of in-house systems and integration with current and future OTS (off the shelf) systems and technologies
  • Database design and support. Liaising with colleagues performing database administration roles. Ensuring data integrity in company systems
  • Maintaining security controls relevant to company systems and databases
  • Development and support of in-house reporting and collaboration systems
  • Adhering to appropriate policies, procedures and standards. Helping to develop these where appropriate. Adhering to best practice in all aspects of the job
  • Maintaining all software and database objects in the appropriate source/version control systems and working with colleagues to ensure these are secured adequately
  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Applications Development Team Leader or the Head of ICT
