Due to further increased growth over 2016 and the expansion of this UK guitar pedal specialists production team and offices, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inventory and Logistics Manager position at their head Office in Thames, Oxfordshire.

Working closely with the Production Floor Manager and reporting to the Senior Management team, the Inventory and Logistics Manager will be responsible for a number of crucial business elements around stock control, quality control, procurement and stock logistics.

Ideally with a background in electronics and/or manufacturing, the successful candidate will be computer literate with skills in Excel and cloud based inventory systems, as well as having exceptional communication skills to liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Production materials planning & procurement based on imposed production targets and deadlines.
- Restocking and allocation of required materials and parts for free flowing assembly
- Stock and logistics management of production floor including correct allocation of materials, organisation of surplus stock and parts and monitoring controlled and dangerous parts and substances. This includes logistics management of external and internal stock and processes
- Filing and organisation of invoices & purchase orders
- Deliveries booked in and quality checked, including documentation of anomalies and management of any supplier returns.
- Weekly report highlighting materials used and costings, reorder requirements and returns
- Batch Quality Control checks of production items including documentation and organisation if issues or anomalies occur.
- Liaising and organising materials for production needs with Production Floor Manager based on pending orders, sales trends and forecast reports
- Profit and loss control including fault trends, waste and regular stock takes/audits
- Logistics control of cloud based stock control system, ensuring that stock levels remain accurate, editing items if required and controlling inbound, outbound and internal stock movement

Desirable Qualities:

- Engineering background
- Production/Manufacturing background
- Knowledge of metalwork techniques and drawing conventions
- Knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing techniques
- Experience working with equipment manufacturers
- CAD experience
- Working knowledge of published industry standards and approvals (BSi, UL, CSA)
- IT skills and knowledge of cloud system formats
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
