Health Care Assistant
Excellent opportunity for Experienced Health Care Assistants to join the South West's leading care home.
Are you an experienced Health Care Assistant with NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3?
If so, as a Health Care Assistant, you will be working in a well-established homely care home environment that supports the physical and emotional wellbeing of the people living in the home, many of whom have Dementia.
This home has achieved an 'Outstanding' in caring (with the Care Quality Commission) rating by putting the people living in the home at the forefront of everything they do - they focus care on the needs of the person rather than the needs of the service.
Hours Full-Time 36 per week on a rota shift basis
Duties include:
* To support with personal care needs on an individual basis recognising choice, ability and diversity
* To recognise and actively encourage the importance of social activity in a person's day
* To understand the importance of a person's life history and incorporate this into the daily care needs
You will:
* NVQ /QCF Level 2 or 3 Health Care
* DBS
* Have a passion for working with older people
* Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
* Reliable, trustworthy and wanting to make a difference
* A commitment to enabling older people to live their lives as well as they can regardless of the complexities of living with long term or life limiting illness
* Experience of caring for elderly patients with dementia within a care home
