Our client is an established consultancy which deals with a wide range of projects such as environmental impact, management and monitoring, mitigation and a variety of other ecological issues. They also deal with protected species surveys and assessments. With an experienced team of ecologists they are able to offer their clients a comprehensive range of services and expert advice.
Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit a Senior Ecologist to join their Bath based office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the co-ordination and supervision of Field and Assistant Ecologists to ensure projects are performed and delivered to the highest possible standard. There will also be a large element of field work involved with the role including Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species work. Other duties will involve contributing to the promotion and development of the companies ecological services and mentoring junior team members.
Applicants must have a degree in Ecology. Relevant experience of project management in a consultancy environment is essential along with experience of ecological surveying, impact assessment and mitigation. Applicants must hold at least one English Nature licence and possess exceptional identification skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required for the role as is IEEM Membership.
