United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Who we are looking for
We have an opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker to join us on a part time basis (31.5 hours per week).
Join us and support individuals to live the lives they choose. Because we are all different, your role as a Waking Support Worker will be varied - what you do and how you do it will depend on the needs of the individuals you are supporting. The service, which supports people with dual sensory loss, learning disabilities and mental health needs is in Stowupland. No one shift is the same. As well as carrying out observational checks, household tasks and providing support as night as required, it will also include supporting a person to:
Take medication
Get washed and dressed
Stay healthy and safe
What we need from you
To be a great Support Worker, you don’t need previous experience or qualifications. What you do need is compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect. You need to be reliable, because people are depending on you and be able to work flexibly. You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills.
Not got any experience?
