PC Engineer - 1st Line/Desktop support

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a hands-on, confident, proactive PC Engineer to deal with 1st Line/Desktop support Helpdesk queries.
Our client is a growing, family run business that provides turn-key IT support solutions to businesses in the London area and also runs the EMEA support arm of a US based software company. The company was incorporated in 2001 and is currently engaged in a programme to expand so this will allow proactive individuals to actively contribute to the development of the company.
Working as part of a small and friendly team, you will be supporting a range of technologies both remotely and on-site at client offices in London.
• 1st Line Support
• Desktop Support
• PC Builds
• Routine PC maintenance and servicing
• Laptop repairs
You will be personally responsible for managing any work generated from the retail counter.
You will have an excellent working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office along with a good understanding of Networking. You will thoroughly understand PC hardware and be able to repair and upgrade various systems.
You will have excellent written and spoken English and this will be demonstrated by a minimum of five good GCSEs (Grade A* to C). You must be able to demonstrate good organisational skills.
You will be motivated, hands-on and keen to learn new technologies. You must be able to work well in a fast paced environment and to multi-task while still following business processes.
You must be eligible to work in the UK and relevant documentation will be checked at interview.

Salary £18,000 rising to £21,000 on completion of three month probation.
