LOCATION: East Wretham, near Thetford
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Supervisor
SALARY & BENEFITS: Circa GBP22,000 per annum + dependent on experience
WORKING HOURS: approx. 40 hours per week
THE COMPANY: We are delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturer of Pet food based in Thetford, with sites throughout Europe. The company is one of the largest Private label pet food producers in Europe supplying quality pet products to major supermarket and retail chains.
An exciting opportunity has been created for a Warehouse Supervisor to join an expanding company and enter into a fresh, but supported role with real scope for the right individual!
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Planning and Logistics Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for making sure all warehouse operations are safe, proficient and cost effective. You will be responsible for the despatch of goods and receipt of various items / loads and the direct management of the picking supervisors and their teams.
Key Responsibilities to include:- Warehouse Supervisor - East Wretham, near Thetford
• Responsibility for maintaining workplace health and safety standards, the security of the area and stock.
• Manage, supervise and motivate all team members working within the warehouse.
• Briefing team leaders and/or teams on a daily basis
• Ensuring that SOP/QMS systems are in place and adhered to.
• Working alongside the Planning & Logistics Manager to develop and implement robust procedures for all aspects of the warehouse.
• Manage stock checks of warehouse stock levels, to a schedule agreed with the Planning & Logistics Manger.
• Maintenance of stock data in the MRP system
• Monitoring staff performance, progress and conducting the review process.
• Communication between departments and external bodies, to ensure key information is transmitted to the correct parties/staff in a timely manner.
• Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Monitoring and reporting the receipt, order picking and dispatch of goods and advising of capacity and staffing requirements.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and must have experience in Warehouse Management, or supervisory experience in an FMCG environment. In addition to this the successful candidate must be able to remain calm under pressure, and must be able to communicate effectively.
Key experience essential for the role:- Warehouse Supervisor - East Wretham, near Thetford
• Warehouse management or supervisory experience in an FMCG environment.
• A flexible approach to working hours - different shift patterns may be required as determined by the needs of the business.
