Student satisfaction and student success rates remain consistently high and provision of high quality pastoral support is something they take seriously.

They are now looking to appoint a Tutor in Health and Social Care & Access to be responsible for carrying out teaching, assessment, evaluation and other administrative duties.

As a tutor, you will co-ordinate a course(s) in the Curriculum area as required, work with the Team Leader to recruit students to meet current targets and report student progress and take appropriate actions to help students overcome any difficulties students may have with the completion of the qualification within the agreed timescale.

This will include ensuring that all allocated students have completed the necessary enrolment documentation and take an active role in all aspects of student assessment and accreditation, take part in curriculum planning and product development as required in order to deliver the College’s strategic objectives and take an active role in the marketing, selection and recruitment to College programmes. You will assist in the planning and monitoring, visiting and assessment of students as required, liaise with employers and other external agencies as required and undertake research and to engage in necessary developments to ensure quality delivery.

With a degree or relevant vocational qualification at level 4 in Health and Social Care and/or Allied Health Care, the successful candidate will have excellent teaching skills and substantial teaching experience. Hardworking and flexible, you should have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills and be capable of working well under pressure to agreed deadlines.

With energy, enthusiasm and passion for Health & Social Care, you will be able to support, motivate and empathise with learners and work effectively as an individual and a team member in order to achieve targets. Non-qualified candidates must achieve a teaching qualification within five years.
