Location: Cranfield, Bedfordshire

We are an exclusively postgraduate university and global leader for education and transformational research in technology and management.  We are the largest UK provider of Masters Graduates in engineering with a flagship MBA and an extensive and highly ranked portfolio of executive education programmes.

The Alumni Relations and Development team seeks to build mutually beneficial relationships between the University and our 60,000 alumni within the UK and around the world.  The team provides a variety of programmes and services for alumni, including events, communications, career development and library resources and encourages alumni engagement and support for the University.

You will work closely with the major gift fundraisers to develop and implement a research strategy that supports fundraising at Cranfield.  Using a variety of different sources, you will conduct research on potential major donors to Cranfield and evaluate their capacity and propensity to give.  You will provide detailed biographical information for internal colleagues for meetings and events with alumni and friends of Cranfield and will oversee the recording of all prospect information on the CRM database.  In collaboration with the Head of Alumni Relations, you will also manage the broader alumni data within the database, identify opportunities to improve the quality of alumni data, produce reports and analyse data to help determine future alumni relations and fundraising strategy.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of database management, data analysis and data manipulation, be used to using online and printed data sources for research, be highly computer literate, proactive and able to meet demanding deadlines.
