Senior Payroll/Systems Manager

Our client, based in South Leicestershire has engaged Paul Mitchell Associates to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll/Systems Manager to join their team on an ongoing contract. Being immediately available or on short notice, the role will involve;

* Leading the payroll function during a period of high change.
* Generating payroll runs in accordance with timetable requirements.
* Producing control reports for payroll processes.
* Maintaining an up to date knowledge of current developments in payroll and taxation.
* Meeting HMRC payroll related requirements.
* Acting as project specialist of any IT development of the Payroll module.
* Maintaining client and staff records.
* Leading the payroll team to operate a strong performance management approach consistent with the business' goals that seeks to optimise performance of the Payroll team, identifying areas for improvement and creating an environment that promotes self-development.

* Minimum five years' experience of managing a sophisticated, computerised payroll system
* Minimum two years' team management experience.
* Graduate calibre
* Experience of leading a migration from an in house to an outsourced payroll
* Design and implementation of control frameworks
* Diploma in Payroll Management (from CIPP) and experience of the ADP payroll system is highly desirable but not essential.
