It is our mission to ensure that visually impaired ex-service men and women have access to the finest quality of services to help them discover life beyond sight loss. Following our own research and in line with the ethos of the Care Act we will be delivering our services closer to the point of need and this means a significant increase in our workforce. Our new Team Leaders will each be leading a multi-disciplinary community team that will include support workers and rehabilitation specialists. This team will deliver directly and through partnership working with other organisations, first class social care, rehabilitation and training services. In the Team Leader role you will: Be managing a multi-disciplinary team of up to 6 staff and a workforce of volunteersHave responsibility for a shared caseload of approximately 500 membersBe delivering community based services over one or more county areasHave budget responsibility in the region of ??500KBe acting as the local ambassador for the charity with responsibility for forming and developing effective partnerships to augment service delivery The ideal Team Leader for this role will: Have experience leading and managing a multi-disciplinary teamBe a skilled case manager with extensive experience of community service development and delivery through professional support staffHave good knowledge of resources and benefits available to older people and people with disabilitiesBe a caring, committed and supportive managerBe a good networker, able to develop collaborative relationships with other service providers in their areasBe resourceful and used to working with initiativeHave a working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeBe able to travel to any part of the region, some of which may be inaccessible by public transport Benefits include free life assurance, sickness benefit scheme, childcare voucher scheme and Employee Assistance Programme, a generous pension scheme and potentially access to a company car dependant on geographical area.This role as Team Leader is home based but with the expectation of visiting the regional / community office on a weekly basis, with frequent visits to members and other beneficiaries as agreed.
