Job Title: Field Trials Assistant - Primary Production
Industry: Food Science
Salary: ??19,000 - ??23,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time
Location: Chipping Campden
Duration: Permanent

Our client is well-established worldwide with the company's focus on science and technology within the food and drink industry. Reporting to the Primary Production Section Manager, our client seek a Field Trials Assistant to plan, resource and execute a range of applied trials relating to primary production.
As the successful Field Trials Assistant your role will be to:
* Manage and undertake project work on behalf of clients and internal programmes in a safe manner.
* Maintain facilities to a high standard.
* Liaise with contractors to provide trial sites and manage the maintenance of any crops required.
* Produce accurate and timely reports on all work undertaken.
You will ideally have:
* A strong understanding of current agronomic practices in agriculture and horticulture, and familiarisation with the crop production industry in general.
* Graduate degree (or equivalent) in Agriculture/Plant Science/Biology or similar.
* Several years' relevant experience in a similar role would be highly desirable.
* Proven competence in field trial design in the agricultural or horticultural sectors.
* Experience working with industry recognised standard guidelines, e.g. ORETO, EPPO, GEP.
In addition, the Field Trials Assistant will have:
* PA1, PA2 and PA6.
* BASIS/FACTS qualification desirable.
* Tractor driving experience.
* Knowledge of greenhouse management systems, including irrigation control.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage work on a number of projects simultaneously to agreed deadlines.
