We have a new vacancy for a Building Consultant / Building Physics Consultant to join a leading consultancy.
Our client are specialists in providing Planning, Sustainability and Building Regulations for architects, builders & contractors.
Due to expansion, they are looking to expand their Building Physics team and require a Building Consultant / Building Physics consultant with 3 or more experience in a similar field.
Building Consultant Role: -
Predominantly focusing primarily on thermal modelling assessments.
Dynamic Simulation Modelling using IES VE Software on a range of buildings, both residential and non-domestic, at various stages of the design and construction process
Providing overheating analysis and advice on mitigation measures to the design team
Providing L2A compliance assessments and provide design advice
Undertake daylighting and Mat 1 Impact Analysis for BREEAM credits.
Communicating the findings of your analysis in plain English to Local Planning Authorities, Building Control and the design team.
Role Requirements and Qualifications: -
Ideally degree qualified in Engineering, Physics, Statistics or Mathematics,
Experience in building energy modelling and system design using relevant software platforms
Client facing experience
Good overall knowledge of energy infrastructure
Knowledge of automated energy technologies including communications protocols and hardware / software interfaces.
Ability to criticise and advise on energy technology solutions.
Confidence, autonomous nature, and ability to manage own workload.
