The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will help lead a dedicated assembly production team.
Your key tasks will be to develop and implement initiatives that enhance capacity plans, improve the sales & operation planning, and achieve demanding production requirements and KPIs. In addition to achieving exacting health & safety standards you will focus on increasing productivity, quality performance and yield through the application of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement philosophy and developing your team through best practice people management

Key measures include:
- Adherence to production plan
- 5S audit score
- Efficiency
- Quality/scrap/PPM
- Employee engagement score

The Person

Ideally you will be a degree qualified (or equivalent) and/or green / black belt certified production/manufacturing professional with excellent value stream mapping experience gained within a fast moving lean manufacturing environment. Commercially aware, you will deliver results through engaging with teams to implement and improve innovative manufacturing processes and controls that create lean, responsive, and predictive operations. You will have had significant exposure to structured practical problem solving tools such as 5 whys, FMEA idea running a small scale manufacturing operation/unit and driving key metrics such as Quality, Cost, Delivery, Health & Safety, Scrap Reduction, throughput efficiency etc. Any exposure to an Aerospace, Automotive or Electronic environment would be desirable.
