User Acceptance Test (UAT) Analyst

The UAT Analyst will report to the Lead Architect or CTO. The UAT Analyst must have the aptitude and capability to systematically test application functionality, as part of the development /test cycle, and in preparation for the go-live phase of each development. Ideally, the candidate should have prior experience of a test/development environment, or a technical support environment.

Duties & responsibilities

* Documentation of UAT Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Scripts;
* Definition and preparation of Test Data;
* Perform User Acceptance Testing of the Functional Requirements of the system and business processes;
* Regression testing
* Identification and analysis of software defects;
* Provide test results, metrics etc. to the Project manager and the wider project team
* Provide training/support to the Client Services group for all applications and services developed and maintained by the Viewpoint development group.
* Update any documentation that has gone out-of-date.
* Work with clients to ensure the quality of delivered software as well as ensuring timely bug resolution.
* In parallel with testing responsibilities, the candidate will be required to assist in the delivery of monthly/quarterly reporting on the testing results.

Experience:

* Working knowledge of the full software project lifecycle
* Working knowledge of defect lifecycle resolution processes
* Test preparation and execution experience (preferably within business applications and processes)
* Track record of successful project completion working in a team;
* Experience of testing iOS and Android apps
* Substantial experience of UAT testing
* Ability to multi-task and test different applications relating to a release;
* Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines;

Skills:

Must Have:
1. Ability to understand and interpret complex business and IT requirements
2. able to understand Functional Specifications and translate them into testable scenarios
3. Excellent communicator
4. Technically proficient, familiar with the major development platforms and languages
5. Attention to detail
6. Able to juggle multiple demanding integrations simultaneously
7. Team player who can liaise effectively with the overseas development team
8. Strong problem solving and good analytical skills (defect analysis and reporting);
9. A fast learner who can quickly grasp the complexities of payments processing
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
11. Must hold a Testing Qualification (ISEB, ISTQB) or the equivalent gained through practical experience.
12. MS Excel & MS Office,

Desirable:
Payments knowledge will be beneficial but not a pre-requisite
