Regulatory Operations Manager (306jc) - Victoria, Central London - circa GBP45,000
My client, a Fortune 500 Listed company, who are global leaders in the fuel products and related service sector are now seeking to appoint a Regulatory Operations Manager in this new created role due to recent acquisitions.
You will be reporting to the Vice President of Global Operations and you will be responsible for managing the global database of licences, leases and permits relating to aviation, and managing personnel responsible for the renewal of these. They will be responsible for ensuring that all legal requirements are met for relevant regulatory bodies.
Therefore your key responsibilities:
• Hold and control the global database for all licences, leases, permits relating to aviation.
• Maintain a master list of when all these documents are due for renewal.
• Record and maintain a list of personnel responsible for renewal of these documents.
• Producing notification dates for all documents based on the length of time it procedurally takes to renew.
• Produce and keep up to date the regulatory requirements and procedure for renewal
• Agree with sites locally how original copies are to be stored and archived.
• Ensure all original documentation is audited.
• Produce and own the procedure for renewal within the company. Whilst not conducting the renewal will ensure it moves in a timely and accurate manner.
To be eligible for this role, you will need the following background and skills:
• Experience gained in an operations management role which had responsibility for overseeing multiple facilities and their license agreements.
• Strong people management skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrable understanding of operational processes.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent computer software skills (Microsoft Office suite)
Desirable:
• Previous experience in a similar Operations Manager role
• Knowledge of aviation regulatory bodies.
• Previous experience with Hazardous Substance licences/permits.
The ideal candidate would probably be a SNCO/WO or Officer who has an aviation regulatory background, as the initial part of the role will need to be a construction of a master list centrally at Victoria, which will need to be constantly updated as regulations change across the globe. An audit or legal background would also be very useful, but the key for this role will be the ability to liaise effectively at all levels within the company and therefore a strong outgoing personality will be required. There may be some travel involved at the initial stages, but they foresee the role being mainly based in the London regional HQ.
