The UNIX/Linux Engineer will ensure the effective delivery of projects for existing and new customers. This exciting job is based in the clients new offices based in Berkshire.

UNIX/Linux Engineer - IT Managed Service Provider - Job Responsibilities

• Operating System and Software administration, fault analysis on client equipment across multiple UNIX and Linux operating systems
• Creation, testing and maintenance and configuration of UNIX/Linux systems
• Application of OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary.
• Support a growing SAAS Solution hosted on AWS
• Participate in a 24x7 on call rota

UNIX/Linux Engineer - IT Managed Service Provider - Skills required

• Previous experience in working as a UNIX/Linux Engineer for large and complicated environments
• Strong Knowledge of RHEL/CentOS Operating Systems
• Knowledge of Ansible and Zabbix
• Experience in resolving BAU issues
• Good understanding of the design and configuration of UNIX/Linux systems
