Financial Planning Administrator/Junior Paraplanner

Location: Pontyclun, CF72 9FG, South Wales
Salary: £17 - £22k, DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

An Independent financial planning business requires a Financial Planning Administrator/Junior Paraplanner, to assist an experienced & well established IFA in helping new and existing clients with their financial planning.

The desired candidate would have previous experience of working within an IFA Practice and the following attributes.

  • Excellent IT Skills – Use of Microsoft Word & Excel; Previous experience and working knowledge of Intelligent Office is also desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An attention to detail
  • Punctual & trustworthy
  • Self-motivated, with desire to learn new skills.
  • Experience of dealing with accounts would also be an advantage
  • Professional attitude
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Financial Services qualifications are desirable
  • FCA understanding of regulations and products, and their practical application

Administrative Duties:

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  • Fee reconciling
  • Stock ordering
  • Answering telephone queries from clients and providers
  • Appointment making
  • Recording client data
  • Scanning & Photocopying
  • Processing & tracking new business
  • Preparing client meeting packs
  • Actively managing diary tasks
  • Providing assistance and support in the provision of Compliance administration activities

Paraplanning duties:

  • Obtain Investment valuations
  • Compile basic client reports
  • Completing basic suitability reports
  • Obtaining client valuations

Starting Salary £17000 - £22000 pa depending on experience; of course, as you develop and gain relevant qualifications, so your salary and future prospects will also grow.
