Salary range: £18,429 - £23,364 (Unqualified), £24,781 - £33,323 (Qualified) per annum

We require a full-time Lecturer in Music to work at our Kettering campus to plan, teach and assess on BTEC Music courses (with elements of Music Technology) with our existing Music and Performing Arts lecturing team. Ideally you will be proficient in at least one instrument and will be able to teach music composition. The ability to teach and oversee music recording would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will have a good all round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent level (level 2) and hold a degree (or equivalent level qualification) in Music or Music Technology with a demonstrable track record of successful classroom teaching or training (particularly with BTEC Level 3 and/or Higher Education qualifications). You will have a PGCE or Cert Ed teaching qualification (or be prepared to take this in parallel with the job). You will be able to play at least one musical instrument to a professional standard and have a good understanding of industry standard Music Production software for both recording and composition

Further details can be found in the job description

An Enhanced DBS Check will be required and you will be required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings which would not be filtered in line with current guidance.

Interviews will be held on 16th January 2017.

Our package includes; Childcare Vouchers, Local Government and Teachers' Pension Schemes, Healthcare Schemes, generous holiday entitlements, above statutory maternity, paternity and adoption pay and on-site gym facilities.

Closing date for applications: Midnight 5th January 2017.
