We are currently recruiting for several roles within the Continuous Improvement (CI) department at our Advanced Wound Care Manufacturing site based in Deeside, North Wales.

  • CI Process Engineer
  • CI Specialist

Details of both of the roles are listed below; please specify on application which role you wish to apply for.

CI Process Engineer

  • Support the Advanced Wound Care Franchise as a Process Expert
  • Perform IQ, OQ, PQ validation
  • Update and maintain change control systems and associated documentation
  • Focused support for production output to maintain attainment delivery
  • Be the primary lead in the escalation process
  • Lead or participate in material trials, new product introduction, equipment & tool design, CAPAs, Engineering EHS activities, PM strategy
  • Identify and deliver cost savings
  • Identify opportunities to improve process capability, machine performance and uptime
  • Adhere to legal, corporate and site legislation, and procedures
  • Compliance with GMP requirements and uphold these standards
  • Compliance with EHS requirements and uphold these standards
  • Seek and deliver CI opportunities across the site

CI Specialist

  • This is a hands on role to assist and lead projects, Kaizens and deliver training to meet plant goals and help to embed a CI Culture
  • Provides mentoring and coaching to assigned Plant Green Belts or other personnel as part of their project management and personal development
  • Verifies that DMAIC and Lean methodologies and tools are being properly applied to projects
  • Delivers on projects with regard to project direction and quality improvement opportunities and suitability as a Six Sigma project
  • Works with plant and regional leadership to ensure Continuous Improvement goals are being met
  • Identify opportunities through data analysis, plant deep dives and /or workshops
  • Coaches Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and leadership in how to convert gaps in performance and material variances into process improvement projects with breakthrough results
  • Conducts training and education for all plant based staff and supports / develops the ConvaTec training materials
  • Update and maintain change control systems and associated documentation
  • Adhere to legal, corporate and site legislation, and procedures
  • Shares best practices throughout the company and monitors projects for opportunities for cross-collaboration
  • Will lead projects independently or with the help of other specialists
  • Collaborates with process owners and plant leadership to develop and evolve Six Sigma, Lean training materials, classes, workshops, tools and methods

Manufacturing | Development | Continuous Improvement | Engineering

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree, or equivalent, in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics or Science related subject
  • Certified in Six Sigma and CI
  • Ability to deliver your own projects and support others to deliver what is required
  • Ability to coach and influence the behaviour and skills of others who they have no direct authority
  • PC Skills including SAP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD
  • Trained in IQ, OQ, PQ validation principles
  • Demonstrated experience in Manufacturing CI support role
  • In-depth working knowledge of all processes and equipment within focus factory
