Due to a truly exceptional period of growth over the last 18 months a £multimillion IT recruitment and consultancy business based in Manchester is looking to grow its team. They are well established but still small enough for you join in a position which will form a key part of the leadership team over years to come.

The last few years have seen new business activities restricted to warm new business, network utilisation and expansion within existing clients. These methods have been extremely successful but the time is now right to take the business to the next level by engaging in a more dedicated and ranging new business initiative. As a result, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team and drive all new business related activity.

Working closely with the senior leadership team you will promote their brand, drive the engagement and development of client relationships and ultimately win new clients for the rest of the business to service. This role will be entirely made up of new business and the initial stages of account management so will be suitable for someone who has operated in a purely new business capacity in the past or is looking to make the step away from a 360 role which includes delivery.

Ideally you will have spent a number of years in a new business position within the IT recruitment arena, present very well, demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and enjoy the manic but rewarding world of New Business / Client Development. You will create strong and lasting relationships and work with clients to determine which of their recruitment solutions (Contingent resourcing, RPO, MV, PSL etc) best suits their needs. You will need to work autonomously, be able to plan and prioritise your time, spent time visiting clients as necessary and constantly look for opportunities to improve their offering / upsell.

You will need to be target driven, competitive, resourceful and dedicated whilst upholding the values of the business.

Salary / remuneration:
- Basic salary in the range of £27,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience.
- Generous (uncapped) bonus structure providing realistic OTE of £60,000 - £100,000pa
