A global real estate advisory firm require a Procurement and Supply Chain professional to join its Property Management division based in London's Canary Wharf.
As Category Manager, the role sits within the operational management team, responsible for the facilities management supply chain and the various hard services which are supplied to the countless managed office and retail portfolios.
Managing more than 1700 properties across the country, ranging from large Central London offices to industrial units and shopping centres, the firm are clearly the marker leader in the management of commercial property on behalf of investors, owners and developers. Given the size and scale of the various portfolios, several services are procured within a tightly managed supply chain of 13 core suppliers.
As Category Manager - M&E, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small selection of services supplied via the already established supply chain and ensure that all stakeholders are managed in line with the firm's overarching procurement strategy. Ensuring that all parties receive clear concise communication is key, taking a commercial approach to managing external suppliers as well as the various internal clients. The successful candidate will be expected to travel extensively - meeting with suppliers in addition to building cohesive and trusted relationships with internal surveying and facilities management teams.
You will have experience of procuring a variety of services within a complex and fast moving supply chain. Experience of M&E within the property and facilities industry is essential. The ability to establish relationships quickly whilst being able to influence stakeholders is key.
