Are you a Computer Vision Engineer who enjoys doing great work that will change the world? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Computer Vision Research Engineer to research and develop new algorithms for a medical device software product that turns cameras into health monitors, enabling video from cameras to read the vital signs (eg Heart Rate and Respiratory Rate) of people that the camera can see.
You will have the chance to research and develop new algorithms, design and run your own experiments and get to include your new algorithms in the final software product in an environment that allows access leading edge tools, equipment, software and many Peta Bytes of research data. The Computer Vision Research Engineer will collaborate with other researchers and software engineers through an environment that encourages sharing of ideas, challenges and in planning new work.
It is essential that the successful Computer Vision Research Engineer has a PhD, PostDoc or equivalent industrial research skills in Computer Vision, specialising in video analysis (eg face or limb tracking as opposed to static image analysis) as well as experience of
* Signal processing of time varying signals
* Machine Learning
* MATLAB/Octave or R and associated appropriate toolboxes and libraries
It would be highly beneficial for the Computer Vision Research Engineer to have
* Cross platform C++ 11/14 programming and/or Boost, STL and OpenCV
* Experience of Vision systems, cameras and illumination
* Exposure to test driven design/development with code quality and agile tools
