Sales Order Processor – Take Your Next Step
Exeter, Devon
£15,600 (with salary reviews at three, six and 12 months) Plus Pension, Free Parking, 20 Days’ Holiday + Bank Holidays, Comprehensive Training

Are you highly numerate and customer focused with administration or office-based experience? Do you love DIY and want a fresh challenge with a growing, successful organisation offering great training? If so, read on.

With over 40 years of experience, our client is a family-run manufacturer and retailer of stylish, bespoke kitchens and bedrooms. Due to expansion, they are now looking for a Sales Order Processor to join their passionate team.

As a family owned business, our client is proud of their strong history and family oriented feel. With over 70% of their business coming from repeat or referred business, they pride themselves on their service levels and approachable staff – and that’s where you come in.

You’ll receive full training to bring you up to speed with our client’s products and systems and will be enabled to achieve great things as part of their team. If this sounds like the kind of role in which you could thrive, our client wants to hear from you.

As a Sales Order Processor, having received your training, you will be tasked with processing wholesale orders and quotations for our client’s kitchen and bedroom products.

Specifically, you will respond to customer requests and provide technical information, building trusting relationships and helping to increase sales for the business.

You’ll need to learn about the different components on offer and how they work together in order to help customers make informed choices about their kitchen or bedroom. As such, a technical mindset will be key, alongside a strong head for figures, particularly with measurements and costings.

Dealing with quotations received via email or fax, you will field telephone enquiries from customers, check quotes for errors, process sales orders and advise customers of all information as it relates to their order.

This is a fantastic opportunity to progress and evolve your career within an incredibly interesting industry, and offers the chance to increase your earnings and get paid for something you are passionate about.

Interested? If so, you must have:

- A background in customer services
- Experience in an administration or office environment
- An excellent head for figures for both measurements and money

Technically minded, friendly and helpful, as a Sales Order Processor, you’ll need to be quick to learn and eager to advance, possess a close attention to detail and have a methodical manner. Excellent communication skills, ambition and the drive for success are also key.

A passion for DIY and/or home improvements and experience of doing these would be beneficial to your application.
