Cover Supervisor
Start Date: 1 February 2017
Salary: Grade 10
Contract: Full Time and Temporary: 31/01/2018

Salary: Grade 10, ??15,302.89- ??17,054.63 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time Only (to include 5 INSET days)
Required from 1st February 2017, The Ridings' Federation of Academies are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to provide short-term cover for absent teachers at Winterbourne International Academy.
This contract is temporary to cover maternity leave until January 2018, or until the substantive postholder returns to work if earlier.
Duties will include:
??? Supervising a class or group
??? Managing pupils behaviour during lessons
??? Supervise completion of work allocated
??? Assisting pupils when required
??? Communicating at all levels
??? Working as part of a team within the department and the school as a whole
??? Support the Examinations and Cover Manager where required
When not required to cover classes, the successful applicant would be expected to assist the Learning Areas with administrative and clerical tasks.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working as an admin assistant/Cover Supervisor, an interest in young people and how they learn, knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and good IT skills, great communications skills and a good standard of education.
This role would be suitable for anyone wishing to gain relevant and invaluable experience prior to completing initial teacher training and pursuing a teaching career.
