The Council is seeking to appoint a Licensing and Enforcement Officer for maternity cover for a period of 6 to 12 months to support the Licensing team within Regulatory Services. The successful candidate will undertake a range of technical and administrative duties and responsibilities in relation to specialist licensing services.
We are looking for someone who will provide an excellent quality service to all customers, meet targets and performance standards, relevant to the assigned duties in order to achieve high standards of service delivery. You will be required to carry out inspections, visits and investigations and other relevant activities in relation to licensing matters and provide advice as required. You will be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including drafting reports and dealing with correspondence.
As a member of a team, you will contribute to the delivery of the licensing enforcement programme and respond to complaints and other requests for services. You must be capable of preparing all correspondence, records and technical reports, contribute to negotiations and discussions to achieve the team's objectives. The successful candidate with be educated to GCSE grade C level in Mathematics and English or be able to demonstrate equivalent aptitude and have experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer.
