Ocean Housing Group owns, manages and maintains approximately 5,000 residential properties throughout Cornwall. It has a diverse range of activities within the three companies that make up the Ocean Group. One of the companies, Ocean Housing Group is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join their Finance Team.
You will assist with the effective delivery of financial and accounting services for companies within the Ocean Housing Group. The post-holder's main role will be based in the purchase ledger function, combined with assisting in various other accounting support duties. Reviewing and maintaining the aged creditors listing, purchase invoice register, assisting with the preparation of month end accruals as required, reconciliation of supplier statements to the purchase ledger and prepare weekly payments runs along with dealing with general day to day finance queries.
The Finance Officer will have frequent contact with external suppliers and contractors and work closely with all members of the finance team.
You will have practical experience of working a finance office environment and working on purchase ledgers and have a good working knowledge of accounting IT applications including spreadsheets. It is essential that you are educated to GCSE A-C or equivalent level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
