ROLE DEFINITION

To act in a support role to the Programme Delivery Team to deliver Employability & Skills Programmes and Projects within Economic Development.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Responsibilities

  • To undertake individual role in line with the Council’s Strategic Priorities and in compliance with the Council’s corporate policies and procedures.
  • To undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by Management or someone acting on their behalf, in addition to the role specific tasks & responsibilities detailed below.

Role Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Support the day to day operations of Employability & Skills programmes and projects.
  • Supervision of two Clerical Assistants
  • Responsible for undertaking research and compiling information required to facilitate successful project delivery
  • Support the monitoring of external contracts in line with funder expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records, both hard copy and electronic, of key documents in line with funder requirements.
  • Assist & support the development and maintenance of the Management Information System
  • Support the commissioning of new projects, as appropriate, from external suppliers.
  • Support the setting up of new programmes and projects including pilot schemes.
  • Input data to client management and audit system.
  • Respond to the Business Team for information on skills programmes and offers.
  • Administrative role to plan and arrange meeting both internally and externally
  • Assist with marketing and promoting the of the Council's Employability & Skills and economic development support programmes.
  • To provide support for all European Funding Programmes
