Do you want to help shape the future of sustainable transport investment in Scotland? Are you able to bring new skills and experience to our organisation and help us influence the way people travel?

We are looking for a well organised and enthusiastic individual to work as project officer to help progress our Community Links Programme, supporting Local Authority partners to deliver cycling and walking projects across the country.

The many exciting challenges of this role include supporting the successful delivery of a wide range of community link projects, including cycling and walking infrastructure, which aim to create and enhance sustainable transport links across Scotland. The role offers a rewarding working environment and many opportunities for training and development.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have a track record in managing and monitoring technical projects to time and budget and be committed to cycling and walking and the promotion of sustainable transport.  You will have experience in building strong working relationships and your ability to influence will be motivational to others.  Your strong written and verbal communications skills will complement your excellent creative approach.  IT literacy is essential as is a knowledge of design or construction of cycling and walking infrastructure.

Sustrans offers a great deal of benefits including flexible working options and access to internal and external training so that you can shape the way your career develops. Your professional development adds valuable skills to the team and helps us all to deliver better, more effective projects and get more people traveling actively.

Closing: Thursday 8 December 2016.

Interviews, Edinburgh: week begining 9th January 2017.

Sustrans is committed to reducing inequality, valuing diversity and enabling inclusion.  We welcome applications from people with the appropriate skills from all parts of the community.
