The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the role of Corporate Admin Support Assistant based at Service Headquarters, Cambuslang. This is a part-time (17.5 hours over Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) and temporary opportunity until July 2017.

  

The post holders will provide an effective administrative and clerical support ensuring the smooth provision of the administrative and clerical function within the Corporate Administration Team.

  

Previous experience within a busy general office environment, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, in particular Word and Excel is essential, in addition to dealing with finance issues such as petty cash, payroll and invoicing.

  

Applicants must be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise your own workload and be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast changing environment whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail. You will need to be self-motivated and have excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills coupled with a flexible approach.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated
