The focus will be on leading RSR UK's business development effort, through effective networking and sales activities via the Business Development Team, the wider Reed Talent Solutions business and Co-Members across all other specialisms within our operational network.This is an excellent opportunity for someone to utilise their existing sales experience within the recruitment industry, with a role that offers flexibility, variety and new challenges, in addition to an attractive salary and excellent bonus earning potential.The successful candidate will be responsible for:• Developing our portfolio of products and services• The effective design and presentation of HR consultancy and recruitment solutions• Leading RSR UK's business development effortThe Role: As Business Development Director, your role will be largely client focused and you will lead the team within RSR to achieve its growth targets through delivering new business wins. Specifically, you will be responsible for identifying and winning new corporate accounts, with some focus on Preferred Supplier List (PSL) business and also more complex and high profile outsourcing solutions for Reed Talent Solutions.New contract business will be secured through both structured tender processes and more informal proposals and negotiations direct with the client. This will require management of multiple internal and external stakeholders, including Client Procurement, Legal, Finance, Bids, as well as senior managers and directors. The Person - what makes a good Business Development Director?• A proven track record in a recruitment focused business development role is essential• Experience of managing and leading a commercial sales team• Excellent networking and relationship management skills• A persuasive communicator and expert negotiator • Exceptional written and verbal communication • Confident leader, particularly within a client facing environment• Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, however this is not essential• A willingness to travel extensively nationallyOur values make REED stand out from the crowd, and help us achieve and maintain our best in class status.
