A leading client in the publishing sector is currently seeking an immediately available stock controller for a role in their company based in Central London. This is a great opportunity to join a high calibre team and gain some noticeable experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Checking Distributed publishers' stock receipts • Act as Internal Audit on stock, overseeing and checking the movement and recording of stock movement • Review the full stock profile on a weekly basis ostock consolidationototal stockholding and accuracyostock availability and relevant stock coding, in conjunction with the Sales administration team• Manage and prepare the month end reconciliation for stock held • Stock reconciliation by collecting (i.e. policing the timely production of the information) and analysis for all areas of stock, including the month end reports. Identify any stock discrepancies• Manage stocktaking activities • Liaise with the Sales department and Distributed publishers on stock reporting in accordance with contracts • Input into and maintain the stock replenishment report • Produce ad hoc stock analysis as required, e.g. slow moving stockSkills & Experience:• Strong school educational achievements• Previous experience in a stock reconciliation position essential• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel especially using Vlookups• Experience using Vista, Business Objects preferable but not essential• Sound numerical & reconciliation skills• Methodical and logical thinking, with strong attention to detail• Ability to learn quickly how the business works and then use that knowledge to sense-check data produced• Strong analytical and problem solving skillsPersonal attributes:• A self- starter who looks to promote and enhance the role and to set and achieve quality standards• Articulate, with excellent communication skills both oral and written• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels inside and outside the organisation
