Logistics AdministratorSalary: GBP19,000-GBP23,000 Salary Negotiable + Discretionary bonusDidsbury8.30am - 5pm - Mon - FriOur client, one of the cornerstones of a global procurement network in the recovered paper and plastic industry is currently seeking a Logistics Administrator to join their team. Committed to building long-term relationships based on the highest standards of ethics, dedication to quality and excellent customer service through their innovative systems and processes with a strong commitment to sustaining the environment.The Logistics Administrator is responsible for coordinating purchase orders with transactional stakeholders: suppliers, vendors, customs agents and internal departments. The Logistics Administrator is the nexus of communication and documentary flow for each transaction, keeping regular contact by phone and e-mail. Key emphasis is placed on good communication and strong organisational skills. A basic understanding of commercial and logistical concepts is also necessary.The job role involves: Creating and updating purchase order files.Acting as the first point of contact for suppliers during the execution of purchase ordersIssuing timely and accurate purchase order documentation to customers and internal departments.Data entry and maintenance of the database for order tracking purposesResolving service problems with suppliers and vendors during order fulfillment.Resolving discrepancies when necessary.Tracking order completion and coordinating internally with Marketing and Logistics teams.Archiving closed files.Delivering a high level of customer service to suppliers at all times The ideal candidate should: Have a minimum of 2 years recent experience of working in an administrative/ Customer Service roleExperience of working in a logistics environment Have experience of order processing and data entryBe a strong organiser, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbalBe smart, dynamic, and confident with the ability to work under pressureBe experienced in using Word, Excel and emailGood GCSE levels (English, Math and IT) and preferably A levels or equivalentAffinity with working in an international environmentGood computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Fluency in English (reasonable spoken fluency in other EU languages a plus)Affinity with working in an international environmentEnergetic, hardworking, intelligent, team player, motivated, driven, ambitious, committed, reliable, conscientious, trustworthy In return the client offers an excellent working environment, a friendly team, a great bonus scheme and good benefits.In the first instance please apply by forwarding your CV, however, preference will be given to those who then follow up with a phone call.Please contact Vicky at our Manchester officeRitz recruitment - Employment Agency
