R&D Engineer

The main crux of the role is to develop new and existing products and technologies, managing/assisting with development projects across the company. Contributing to and sometimes leading product development projects, identifying new technologies and proactively finding ways to improve existing products. You may get to speak at Seminars to help develop the brand and complete research studies. You will also be involved in site visits to review products and concepts, supporting customer services with technical solutions to application issues. You will obviously be involved with various design calculations, including interpreting engineering standards and creating complex spreadsheets for use of the wider design team. Identify new technologies and proactively find ways to improve existing products. You would also need:- Degree in Mechanical Engineering Able to demonstrate experience of product development process Able to influence designs and product improvement initiatives Some experience in an industry associated with metal fabrications, light and heavy gauge etc. / electro-mechanical products, or mechanical assemblies.
