Merchandiser - Various Categories

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Merchandiser to be based at our Head Office in Milton Keynes. As a Merchandiser you will be working within our Commercial Supply function optimising stock availability and supporting stock budget within your category.As Merchandiser within Commercial Supply you will be working closely with the Assistant Merchandise Manager in order to deliver sales and profit targets to agreed stock levels whilst also covering for them in their absence.As a Merchandiser you will have responsibility for:Reviewing weekly trading performance, identifying issues and recommending actions to recover risk and maximise opportunities, concentrating on best and worse sellersMonitoring availability of new ranges, promotions and on-going linesWorking with the Merchandising Manager and the Buying teams in order to agree and implement the promotional sales and stock level plansDriving personal and team development to continuously improve capability, through effective relationship management of category management/buying teams.Working closely with suppliers to aid in the delivery of KPI's and ensuring the supplier base is aligned with operational requirements.To be successful in this role we ask that you:Have demonstrable experience within a similar role in the retail industry.Showcase strong analytical skills whilst being commercially astute with proven ability to drive your own personal development.Have the ability to influence at all levels and build close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Have knowledge/experience of using a variety of replenishment systems ideally with knowledge of WH, Store Replenishment and/or Direct to Customer Fulfilment.What we hope you will do nextPlease complete our short application process by clicking apply now.Argos operates as an equal opportunities employer and we welcome all applications regardless of
