The Testing Technical Lead will be expected to take an active role in the central governance of the Testing Solution Group (TSG), providing leadership, resource management, pipeline planning and delivering continuous improvement initiatives. They will also be responsible for a portfolio of testing projects translating strategic concepts and tooling architectures into practical implementations within both an Agile and Waterfall environment.
Job Responsibilities Responsibilities
Take responsibility for the strategic vision of the relevant project
Engage with the wider IT community through various forums
Lead and Support day to day activities in the Testing Solution Group (TSG)
Ensure that the Toolset' within the TSG project is both effective and efficient
Provide Technical Expertise through an awareness of tooling available to support the TSG
Line management, mentoring and motivational responsibility for team members
Resource planning, including recruitment and allocation of staff
Assessing and setting testing milestones (Test Engagement Pack)
Provide technical expertise at all times on a range of relevant subject matter
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
1.Experience in translating strategic thinking into detailed operational plans and embed a culture of continuous improvement and continuous integration
2.A strong communicator with the ability to translate complex information into simple terms
3.Experience in people and performance management, motivating staff when needed
4.Proven ability to deliver change in a complex environment involving multiple stakeholders
5. Knowledge and/or practical experience of test management, test automation and performance tooling
6. Knowledge and/or practical experience of Behaviour Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Specification by example & Acceptance Test Driven Development
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
1.An understanding of the financial aspects of technical change and implementation
2.Knowledge of a broad range of current systems and technologies (inc ITIL, Waterfall and Agile)
