Laboratory Administrator Our client is an energetic and dynamic business, delivering analysis results with integrity. With locations across Europe, including 8 laboratories in the United Kingdom, they offer a variety of analysis in the Food, Waters, Environmental and Oil industries. Position: Laboratory Administrator / Laboratory Assistant Location: Dunstable, Bedfordshire Job Type: Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: GBP16,645.00 per annum About the role: As the first contract laboratory to achieve the Institute of Customers Services' Service Mark, they are dedicated to delivering excellent service to their customers whilst providing an engaging working environment for their teams across the business. Their Food and Waters business support many food producers, retailers and national water utilities to ensure people know their food is safe to eat and their water safe to drink. They are currently inviting applications for a Laboratory Administrator to work as part of the Waters Laboratory's Sample Reception team in Dunstable. Their Sample Reception team are an essential part of their service delivery to their customer logging all samples which arrive on site into their database, ensuring they are labelled correctly ready for their laboratory to perform their analysis. About you: These roles will ideally suit individuals who have experience in fast turnaround of work, either within the factory industry or bar and restaurant working environments. Previous experience of working in a call centre responding to customer queries would also be advantageous. Attention to detail is a vital skill for team members to ensure accuracy when checking that all paperwork associated with the samples is correct. The successful candidate will utilise their excellent communication and troubleshooting skills when responding to customer queries and problem solving. Familiarity with computers including the use of Microsoft office packages with accurate typing skills is essential for the successful candidate. You will preferably have a basic understanding of science and would ideally be familiar with using a laboratory information management system, however this is not essential as training will be provided. A methodical approach and ability to work on your own initiative are essential within this role.
