Job Overview/Duties Market Leading FMCG Company GBP70,000 Overview Working within a Divisional Finance Team Team currently comprised of 2 fully qualified accountants and one part-qualified accountant. Reporting into Divisional Finance Controller. High profile role with Divisional Finance Director regularly presenting to the Board of Directors. Division comprised of 10 varied businesses with a combined revenue of c.GBP500m and trading profit of c.GBP50m. Monthly Divisional Reporting (less than 5 working days) Consolidate Divisional P&L and Balance Sheet to produce monthly Divisional management report focusing on performance against budget. Question businesses within the Division on performance, risks and opportunities. Not process driven, instead requires ability to pick out key information and present this clearly and accurately. Software used - Axiom and Excel. Group (1-2 working day) Answer Group queries (Group have 7 other Divisions also reporting into them). E.g. working capital analysis, sales pipeline updates, lead initiatives such as procurement savings, energy reduction, etc??? Project Work Review business capex requests to drive growth/manage risks. Work with 10 diverse businesses to drive profit/cash flow improvements by understanding the business models/capitalising on opportunities and mitigating risks. Travel when required in the UK and infrequently internationally. Business partner to commercial teams in contract negotiations and bids. Help ensure finance teams in the businesses are fully supported. Annual Divisional Business Plan (Oct). Key Attributes/Skills ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified Experience consolidating financial results of numerous businesses/departments in order to analyse key trends, pose the right questions and present clearly. Comfortable producing a P&L and Balance Sheet using an understanding of basic journals Good commercial acumen Understand concepts such as NPV, IRR??? experience appraising business cases an advantage Able to work accurately within a fast paced environment Excel - pivot tables, sumif, vlookups, modelling
